Looking for an easy way to reconnect with the Mira Vista community? Come join the PTA! It’s a great way to get to know other Bee families, learn about everything our school has to offer, and help our students thrive.
In addition, the PTA is looking for a new president and vice president for the 2021–22 school year. If you are interested in either of these positions, we would love to hear from you! Or, feel free to nominate or recommend someone else you think would be great in these roles. In past years, some true gems were elected after a peer nominated them. No PTA experience is necessary; we welcome any and all applicants. E-mail your nominations to ptanominations@miravistaschool.com. Here are descriptions of the roles: President • Runs the PTA • Presides at PTA board meetings • Serves as the official contact, communicator, and representative of the PTA • Supervises all committees • Connects families, the school, and the school community in order to support student success Vice President • Supports the president • Performs president’s duties in their absence • Is responsible for the board-meeting and general-association agendas • Sets up Zoom links as long as distance meetings continue • Schedules the monthly board meetings
