What’s all the buzz about?



The West Contra Costa Unified School District has identified a $47.8 million budget deficit that will be required to be solved by the Board of Education for the 2020–2021 school year. The Board of Education and the District are actively requesting the input of all stakeholders regarding priorities for District spending moving forward.


We are requesting your feedback by December 19, 2019. While the collective results will be shared with the board in January 2020, all responses will be anonymous.

Where: Lovonya DeJean Middle School Details: There is no childcare, but children are welcome and encouraged, so parents can remind the school board who they work for. Wear all BLACK to let the Board of Education know that we are watching and holding them accountable. There will be an opportunity for public comment.
