We’ve made it through the first half of the school year, Bees! To celebrate, we’re throwing a fun-filled Spirit Week, which ends with a car parade on the Mira Vista campus Friday, January 29!
Big things are happening at Mira Vista January 25–29! Dress up to show your school spirit all week long … then, on Friday, see your teachers on campus for the 100th day of school!
Here’s the Spirit Week schedule:
Monday, Jan. 25: HAT DAY — wear your favorite hat to class!
Tuesday, Jan. 26: PAJAMA DAY — everyone wears PJs all day!
Wednesday, Jan. 27: CRAZY HAIR DAY — give your ’do a wild style!
Thursday, Jan. 28: “BUSINESS ZOOM” — dress in your finest 9-5 (or fancy) attire … but only from the waist up!
Friday, Jan. 29: MIRA VISTA SPIRIT — throw on your MV T-shirt, or any blue and yellow gear!
Need spirit wear? Check out our online store!
But wait … there’s more!
On the 100th day of school — that’s Friday, Jan. 29 — visit the Mira Vista campus for the first time in almost a year!
Principal Betson and all the teachers and staff are hosting a car parade in the lower parking lot: As families drive through, students can wave to their teachers — and maybe even spy some friends in their cars. This is an exciting opportunity to see each other in person instead of onscreen! Please stay in your car and wear a mask.
Drive by at these times:
K, 1st, and 2nd graders: 1–1:20pm
3rd, 4th, and 5th graders: 1:25–1:45pm
6th, 7th, and 8th graders: 1:50–2:10pm
To minimize traffic issues, we ask that you follow this route:
1. Approach the school from Mira Vista Drive, then turn left onto Hazel Ave.
2. Turn right into the lower parking lot, and circle around.
3. As you exit the parking lot, turn right onto Hazel Ave.
