BAND Announcements

Hi Elementary Band Families! Next week, on Wednesday, October 16, we will start up Buddy Band again.

That means that your elementary band student is invited to come join the middle school's after-school band class from 1:45-2:30 on Wednesdays. Each elementary band student will be paired up with a middle-school band student mentor who plays the same instrument and will help them out and play along with them.

It has been quite popular and a good community builder in the past, and I encourage you to sign the permission slip (link below) and send your band students. They'll have fun and get lots of support. There are some extra hard copies of the permission slip in the office, and your student can also get one from me. 

Elementary students are invited to come every Wednesday that they can! We're looking forward to having a big group this year! See you soon, Jane Magid,  Mira Vista Band Director

Readathon 2019 Results

Drum roll please! Here are this year's Readathon results:190 students participatedTotal minutes read: 106,046 - 29 students read more than 1,000 minutes! Total money raised: almost $10,500It has been a huge success and has far surpassed our wildest hopes & dreams!!! The number of participating students, the number of minutes read & funds raised have all increased SIGNIFICANTLY compared to last year!

Mira Vista Night Out - Oct. 10 at EAST BROTHER!

Mira Vista Night Out - Save the Date: October 10th

Our next evening out will be hosted by East Brother Beer Company, a family and dog friendly neighborhood brewery in Richmond. Also home to the La Santa Torta food truck - the birria reminds me of my grandma's. It's that good. Bring your quarters for the ping pong table and arcade games.
